Riots broke out during the match in Poland - a police officer-injured fan died (VIDEO)

In Poland, on Saturday night, football fans' blood flowed again. The city of Knurovo in southern Poland, about the size of Marijampolė, became a battlefield between football hooligans and police officers.

The conflict escalated after a fan who was injured by a rubber bullet from the police died in the hospital.

On Saturday, during the match in Knurovo between the local club "Concordia" and Radziokovo's "Ruch," football fans clashed and the situation quickly spiraled out of control. Stones and fireworks were thrown onto the pitch, and the intervention of the police did little to calm the situation.

According to TVN24, when about 50 football hooligans entered the pitch, the referee decided to stop the match.

The police tried to calm down the unruly fans of both teams. A rubber bullet fired by an officer hit a 27-year-old man in the neck. He died in the hospital a few hours later.

Upon hearing this news, football fans became furious. In the evening, they gathered outside the hospital, throwing Molotov cocktails at the security guards. The police had to once again mobilize forces, but were practically unable to catch the offenders.

The Polish police reported that about 15 officers were injured during this incident. The search for the organizers of the clashes has been announced.
