Rivaldo urges not to go to the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games

Brazilian football legend Rivaldo warns tourists planning to visit this year's Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, AP wrote.

The reason - the city is plagued by crime and violence.

The 2002 World Cup champion spoke out after a tragedy on Sunday, when a sixteen-year-old was killed in Rio de Janeiro during an exchange of fire.

"Every day the situation becomes more and more critical. I advise anyone planning to go to the Rio games - stay at home. If you come here, you risk your life. Only God can fix the crisis in Brazil" - he wrote on "Instagram."

In January, "Forbes" declared Brazil as the "world capital of murder."
