Club captain Roy Keane announced to the English press on Friday that he plans to end his football career at the end of the 2005/06 season.
"When I signed a contract with the 'Red Devils' in 2002, I said that it would be my last one. I haven't changed my mind so far, and I believe I will finish my career in the summer of 2006," said the Irish national team defender to journalists.
Recently, another football star, Real Madrid defender Zinedine Zidane, also announced that he plans to retire soon, but he is preparing to do so in the summer of 2007.
