Although the Suvalkai are currently only in 8th place in the league table, the difference from 4th place, which the team leaders talked about before the season - is only 7 points, and the Marijampolė team has played one game less than a few other teams. On the other hand, the mood in the team is not the best, there is a lack of mutual understanding and connection, the legionnaires acquired before the season either sit on the bench or are injured. We present to your attention the interview given by the head coach of "Sūduva" Rino Lavezzini to the official club website, where he talks about leaving the club. - How do you rate the team's play in the first round? - The team has changed compared to last year. With each game, we improved our play. But we make mistakes constantly, for which we pay dearly. Luck also plays a role. We have losses - injured players, forwards who will not play the whole season. This affects our game. Now our problem is to score goals. We create 5-6 opportunities during a match. But we do not score goals. - Are you satisfied with the current position and points scored? - Of course not. I am not satisfied with the number of points. We should have earned 6 points more. We should have earned 3 points against "Atlantas" and 3 points against "Vėtra", it is our fault that we did not earn those points, nobody is to blame. But this problem can be solved. We work hard. But it is really impossible to play in such fields (note - referring to the condition of the "Sūduva" stadium pitch during the match against "Žalgiris"). The team has changed since last year, but it cannot change quickly. It's a long way. It takes time. - Which matches were the worst and which were the best? - Let's not forget that out of 9 matches in the first round, we played 6 away. If we analyze the matches, the worst matches were with Kaunas. We lost to Ekranas, who is the best team in the championship. The best matches were with "Vėtra", especially the first half. I tell my players that almost all teams are of the same level as us, maybe even worse. But they do not believe they are better. Their expressions are the same, whether they win or lose. This is a problem that ruins my relationship with the team. Now there is no agreement between me and the team. - What can you say about the legionnaires O. Braga and E. Ferrari? - Ottavio is currently in Brazil. The other one is a defender, and I currently need a forward, not a defender. Ottavio had so many family problems that we hardly ever had him with us. We need to understand why he hasn't been on the pitch for a long time. I think Ottavio is an important player for the team. He is needed in the team. Enzo - I don't want to talk about it. - What can you say about the young players V. Slavickas, A. Urbšys, P. Leimonas? - The young players are great. I let them on the field. But they still have a lot to learn. V. Slavickas has not progressed this year. He trains very little. Of course, it is important that he scores goals playing for "Sūduva-2". - Have you managed to implement any of your plans after starting to train the team? - I came here to bring innovations to the club, but if my innovations are not accepted, then my presence here is meaningless. I want to win. If my team does not win, I will leave home. I don't understand what the goal of playing is. We play well, create chances, but do not score goals. What do I have to do to score goals? Should I go on the field myself? I am upset that we are not winning, but it is not me who should be upset, but the players. - Some people try to see internal problems in the team... - If someone thinks that I have problems with the team, these are people who say things they shouldn't, these are people who should keep their distance from the team. Maybe someone is jealous? The club organization was better last year. I think about the team's problems, but I don't have time to think about the club's problems. I came to Lithuania to share my experience. And if I cannot maintain good relationships with people, I will go back to Italy, find another job, and that's it. If there is no mutual understanding between me and the team players, I am ready to make a decision.
