"Having said goodbye to Borussia Dortmund, Robert Lewandowski claims that he went to Bayern Munich to win titles.

The Bavarians announced the acquisition of the 25-year-old footballer in January, but he will join the team led by Josep Guardiola in the summer.

"My goal at this club is to win titles," the Polish player told the "Bild" newspaper. "In the Bayern team, this opportunity is more realistic than anywhere else."

R. Lewandowski wore Borussia's jersey for the last time on Saturday. In the German Cup final, the Bundesliga runner-ups lost 2-0 to Bayern's eleven.

"After the match, I was sad because I wanted to leave Borussia winning trophies. I had an amazing time in this team that I will never forget," added the forward.

The Polish national team member played for the "yellow and black" team since 2010. Over four seasons, R. Lewandowski played 185 matches and scored 103 goals."
