Road to World Cup: Composition announced by Argentina and Colombia

With less than a month left until the World Cup, the national teams have slowly begun to prepare for the event in Russia.

The preliminary squad for the World Cup was announced by the former vice champion Argentina. However, Jorge Sampaoli still has to adjust his selection - only 24 out of the 35 players listed will go to the global championship.

The preliminary list includes Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi, who did not play in the last national team camp. Argentina will also be assisted in the tournament by the experienced Javier Mascherano, who plays in China.

Colombia also announced its preliminary squad for the tournament. A host of stars from the team will travel to Russia - including James Rodriguez, Radamel Falcao, Abel Aguilar, and Davinson Sanchez.

Colombia will compete in the World Cup group stage against Japan, Poland, and Senegal, while Argentina will face Croatia, Iceland, and Nigeria.
