Robben: my penalty was unsuccessful © EuroFootball.com

Munich region's forward Arjen Robben did not hide his disappointment after an unsuccessful UEFA Champions League final.

The German team lost to London's Chelsea after a penalty shootout, and Robben failed to score a decisive penalty during extra time - his shot was saved by Petr Cech.

"It's hard to describe in words how I feel, but the evening was tragic," Robben said. "Two or three times we practically had the trophy in our hands, but in the end we were left with nothing.

"My shot from the penalty spot was not good. I wanted to hit it high, but the ball didn't fly as I tried. After this episode, I played well, but I had to rethink everything again.
