Eindhoven's player Arjen Robben will have to miss the rest of the season due to a recurring Achilles tendon injury.

The player strained his tendon on March 11 during the UEFA Cup match against "Auxerre" and underwent treatment for just under a month. In Sunday's match between the teams of "PSV" and "Groningen", which "PSV" won 5-0, Robben appeared on the field in the second half, but after 17 minutes he was forced to leave the field due to a recurrent injury.

Today, further examinations will be carried out on the 20-year-old defender, who will move to London in the summer, but it is already known that these were the last matches for this young Dutch talent in the ranks of Eindhoven's club.

"PSV" coach Guus Hiddink said: "This was Arjen's last match in the ranks of "PSV", but I believe he will recover from the injury in time for the European Championship in Portugal."

The coach also said he wanted Robben to play in the return UEFA Cup match taking place this Wednesday, where "PSV" will play away against "Newcastle".
