On Thursday, the Spanish media reported that Santos and the Brazilian national team striker Robinho passed a medical examination in Sao Paulo and will soon sign a contract with Real Madrid.

The Spanish sports newspaper "Marca" claims that the 21-year-old wonderkid was examined by Real's doctor Alfonso del Corral in Brazil.

"I cannot say whether Robinho will sign a contract with Real, I can only say that he is in amazing physical condition," said one of the Brazilian doctors who participated in the examination. "If I had to rate his condition on a scale of ten, I would give him a 20."

One of Brazil's most promising players, who returned from Germany where he represented his country in the Confederations Cup, did not show up for training with Santos, demonstrating his dissatisfaction that Santos rejected a $25 million offer from Real.

Santos' president Marcelo Teixeira had previously stated that they were demanding $50 million for Robinho, but now, according to the Spanish media, Santos has agreed to a $36 million offer.

One of Robinho's agents, Wagner Ribeiro, stated that the long-standing war between Santos and Robinho should come to an end soon.

"We hope to resolve everything by the weekend," said Ribeiro. "It cannot go on any longer."

At the moment, Real is in Asia, continuing their preparations for the season.
