The star discussed this on a BBC program.

"First of all, I have to say that I made this decision very early on. It wasn't common for a child my age to say 'no' because usually you try to imitate your friends.

When the social media boom started, I said once again that I didn’t need it because I'm already surrounded by like-minded people with whom I can go to the park, have fun in the countryside, etc.

I didn’t want to look for friends online.

I think there is pressure in society to have certain things. And in the end, you ask yourself: 'Why do I need this?’

No, these things are definitely not necessary for me. I certainly don't regret my decision and I can assure you that I love real life,” said Rodri.
