18-year-old talent of Madrid's "Real" club Rodrygo finally fulfilled his dream on Wednesday - he made his debut in official matches.
Meeting with Pamplona's "Osasuna" chance after substitution, the Brazilian player had such a debut that any young footballer could dream of.
Entering the field in the 71st minute, the player sprinted on the right side after 93 seconds and scored his first goal in his debut match. He secured the team's victory - 2:0.
After the match, Rodrygo said that he had been dreaming of such a debut since the first day he signed a contract with the "white" team.
"I always had a little luck during all my debuts. I am extremely happy," said the young talent. "I always said that the day I score my first goal for this club will be special."
"It's hard to describe this feeling in words. You dream about it as soon as you join the club, but when you hear the fans chanting your name, it's something incredible," continued the Brazilian.
Rodrygo has entered the "Real" club's history pages as the author of one of the fastest debut goals. Only another Brazilian - the legendary Ronaldo, scored his first goal in 62 seconds.
"I don't want to talk about comparisons with Ronaldo, who is one of the best footballers of our country of all time. When I felt that the first touch was good, I realized that I could definitely shoot the ball into the goal. I never doubted my abilities and I know that I am worthy of being in this club," added Rodrygo.
