"Roma" and "Fiorentina" did not overcome their opponents, while "Milan" celebrated victory.

Today the battles of the Italian championship continue.

The country's vice-champion "Roma" seems to have a very difficult task to fight for the "Scudetto" this year. Rudi Garcia's team played a 1-1 draw on the road against Verona's "Hellas," who are currently in the second part of the standings. Francesco Totti scored to put the capital team ahead in the 26th minute, but Boško Jankovič equalized for Verona in the first half.

"Roma" is already nine points behind defending champion Turin's "Juventus."

Meanwhile, "Milan" surprised their fans with a victory at the "San Siro" stadium. The "Rossoneri" defeated "Cesena," a team in the relegation zone, 2-0, and temporarily moved up to eighth place. Goals in this match were scored by Giacomo Bonaventura and Giampaolo Pazzini.

Unlike "Roma," another capital club, "Lazio," managed to beat their opponents. Stefano Pioli's team came back to win 2-1 against "Palermo" after Paulo Dybala's goal.

In the last match of the evening, the team showing excellent form recently, Fiorentina, and "Torino" played a draw. In the 10th minute, Fiorentina's Khouma Babacar missed a penalty kick. The goals came at the end of the match - Fiorentina's newcomer Mohamed Salah scored, but Giuseppe Vives equalized for Torino.

After this round, Vincenzo Montella's team dropped to fourth place in the standings behind "Lazio."

"Parma," whose season has reportedly ended due to bankruptcy, will be given a technical 0-3 defeat against "Udinese."
