"Roma" and London's "Chelsea" clubs have agreed on Davide Zappacosta's return to Italy. The 27-year-old defender, who is not in Frank Lampard's plans, will defend the honor of the "Roma" team this season.
Fabrizio Romano wrote that the "blues" agreed to loan the Italian until the end of the season. It is believed that the agreement will include an option to buy his contract.
In recent years, D. Zappacosta has become a backup for Cesar Azpilicueta, but F. Lampard has assigned an important role to the young Reece James this year.
D. Zappacosta joined "Chelsea" in 2017. He has managed to play over 50 matches and score two goals in total.
