"Roma" captain K. Strootman suspended for simulation

„Roma“ team midfielder Kevin Strootman has received a serious punishment for what seems to be a common occurrence in today's football. Strootman will miss the next two "Serie A" matches due to simulation in the match against "Lazio". The Dutch player earned a penalty kick for his team, but after reviewing the incident, the Disciplinary Committee decided that there was no contact and Strootman should be punished. To make matters worse, "Roma" still lost the match 1:3. The capital city team will have to play without their midfielder against "Milan" and "Juventus". Currently, "Roma" is in second place in the league table, only one point ahead of the third-placed "Napoli" with four games left in the season. Meanwhile, the absence of Strootman could be strongly felt: the midfielder has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists in 31 matches this season.
