Today began the eighth round of the Italian championship.
In the first match, two giants met - "Napoli" hosted "Roma" at home. The match was truly evenly played.
However, the first goal of the match at the end of the first half after a pass from Mohamed Salah was scored by the "giallorossi" sniper Edin Džeko. The same Bosnian player scored again less than ten minutes after the break.
The hosts managed to revive their hopes in the 58th minute with a goal from defender Kalidou Koulibaly, but ultimately the capital team secured their lead with a precise shot from Salah.
Thanks to this victory, Luciano Spalletti's team overtook their opponents and moved up to second place in the standings.
Later, the clubs "Pescara" and Genoa's "Sampdoria" entered the battle. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Both goals in the first half were scored by Hugo Campagnaro - first he gave the lead to "Sampdoria" by scoring an own goal, and then equalized the score.
Finally, in the evening clash, defending champion Turin's "Juventus" faced "Udinese". Playing at home, the "bianconeri" were forced to play against their opponents, but before the end of the first half, Paulo Dybala responded with a precise shot to Jakub Jankto's goal.
The same Argentine player converted a penalty awarded to Alex Sandro after the break. As it turned out later, Dybala's second goal was decisive and the match ended with a score of 2-1.
"Juventus" extended their lead over the closest pursuers to five points.
