Around 20 million euros secured the promising talent Erik Lamela from Buenos Aires' "River Plate" club.

The 19-year-old footballer also caught the interest of "Liverpool", "Tottenham" and "Barcelona" teams, but he ended up in Italy, where he signed a five-year contract. He will earn 1.5 million euros per season.

Last season, Lamela played 36 matches for "River Plate" and scored four goals, but it was not enough to save the legendary club from a dramatic relegation from the country's top division.

Meanwhile, "Roma" finished sixth in the Italian championship last season, but with the new owner Thomas Di Benedetto, they are nurturing much more ambitious plans for the upcoming season.
