In the last and decisive "Serie A" round there was no shortage of drama. "Roma" narrowly defeated "Spezia" at home with a score of 2:1 and secured a ticket to the Europa League next season.
"Spezia" started the match by intimidating Jose Mourinho's students with "cold showers." In the 6th minute, the guests took the lead thanks to Dimitrios Nikolaou.
"Roma" equalized the score after 43 minutes with a goal from Nicola Zalewski. However, at the same time, "Juventus" achieved a narrow victory in their match, meaning that Jose Mourinho's troops had to win against "Spezia" to secure a place in the Europa League next season.
The winning goal was scored, but it had to wait until the 89th minute. Paulo Dybala converted a penalty from 11 meters, and at the end of the match, "Spezia" could no longer find the strength to equalize.
This result also means that Turin's "Juventus" finished in seventh place and will play in the Conference League next season.
