"Roma" club goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg will now defend the goal of London's "Fulham" team. This was confirmed by the sports director of the Italian capital's team, Franco Baldini.
The Premier League team has long been associated with this goalkeeper. The Dutchman was already one foot in at "Fulham" back in January, but the deal collapsed on the last day of transfers.
Unofficial data suggests that Martin Jol will lay down £4 million for the goalkeeper, who is meant to replace veteran Mark Schwarzer. The Australian's contract with the London club ends this summer.
"Roma" would like to replace the Dutchman with "Santos" club and Brazilian national team member Rafael.
