The 40-year-old Italian raised the club from tenth to fifth place in the Serie A championship, and in the first Europa League quarter-final match, he defeated Brighton's team 4-0.
Impressed by his solid performances, Roma's management made a decision about the specialist's future.
According to Sky Sports, D. De Rossi will be offered a two-year contract.
The current agreement between both parties is valid until the end of this season.
