Ronaldinho Sent to Isolation in Paraguay with a Fake Passport

In Paraguay, Ronaldinho, who had entered with a fake identity document, got into serious trouble. Paraguayan law enforcement confirmed on Saturday that Ronaldinho is being sent to a detention center.

The country's police arrested Ronaldinho and his brother at the Asuncion hotel. A search was conducted in their room, during which fake documents were found.

Both Ronaldinho and his brother appeared in court on Saturday morning, where they were ordered to return to prison.

Ronaldinho has been without his country's (Brazil) passport for some time, as it was revoked due to a hefty fine he failed to pay.

In 2015, the Brazilian was accused of fishing in Lake Guaiba using illegal means and without permission, and had to pay a fine equivalent to 8.5 million US dollars to the country's budget.

Since then, Ronaldinho has refused to pay and his passport was revoked in 2018, preventing him from traveling to other countries.
