President Silvio Berlusconi confirmed that the club is negotiating with Genoa's "Sampdoria" striker Antonio Cassano.

According to the press, the Italian is expected to sign a four-year contract in the near future. He agreed to pay over a million dollars to Madrid's "Real" team, which still holds part of the rights to him.

On December 27, Cassano is supposed to leave for a training camp in Dubai with his new team mates.

"We are acquiring Cassano with the idea that Ronaldinho will likely leave. In addition, he is a suitable player for us," Berlusconi said.

This winter, Brazilian Ronaldinho is most likely to return to his homeland - clubs like "Gremio" and "Palmeiras" are interested in him.
