Legendary Brazilian Ronaldo delighted his fans at the 2002 World Cup when he appeared on the field with an extravagant haircut.
Indeed, the triangle shaped patch on top of his head did not stop the sniper from dominating the competition and winning prestigious trophies.
Now 41-year-old Ronaldo has revealed the secret of his haircut.
"At that time, I had injured my leg and everyone was constantly talking about it. So, I decided to shave my head bald and leave a small tuft of hair.
When I arrived at training, the surprised players started talking about the haircut and forgot about my injury.
I was able to relax more and focus on preparing for the matches. Of course, I was not proud of that decision, as the haircut looked quite strange.
However, it was a good way to divert attention," Ronaldo said.
In 2002, Brazil triumphed in the World Cup for the last time.
