Rosetti ends his referee career, Webb to officiate World Cup final © EuroFootball.com

One of the best European and world referees, Italian Roberto Rosetti, announced the end of his refereeing career.

Rosetti still had two years left until the age limit when a referee is forced to retire. The Italian is unpleasantly remembered for these planetary championships, when he counted the questionable goal of Carlos Tevez during the round of 16 match between Argentina and Mexico.

Rosetti himself denied rumors that it was precisely because of this scandal that he is ending his career.

By the way, FIFA today officially announced that the referee for the World Cup final will be Englishman Howard Webb.
