The captain of the Czech national team, Tomas Rosicky, will not be included in the starting lineup for the European Championship quarterfinal match against Portugal.
The footballer, who suffered an Achilles tendon injury, watched the last Group A match against Poland from the bench.
"Tomas definitely won't play from the first minutes," said the Czech national team manager, Vladimir Smicer. "But if we need to level the score at the end of the match, maybe we will get his help."
Most likely, Tomas Hubschman will take Rosicky's place on the field. The Czech Republic - Portugal match will start at 21:45 Lithuanian time.
