The Russian championship season continues. The tenth round of the "Premier" league started on Monday with the only match. In Moscow, the leader of the tournament "CSKA" met one of the league's outsiders "Rostov".
1 – 2
15’ [0 - 1] Aleksandr Dancev
32’ [1 - 1] Jo (11 m.)
62’ [1 - 2] Spartak Gognijev
D. Šemberas ("CSKA") played until the 70th minute
"CSKA" started the game with almost the optimal line-up, missing only J. Žirkovo, while "Rostov", with their current position in the standings, did not promise to oppose the titled opponents.
The match started with active actions from "CSKA" and it seemed that soon the defense of "Rostov" would not withstand the attacks of the "army", but the opposite happened - after a quick breakthrough on the flank and a pass into the penalty area, Aleksandr Dancev successfully sent the ball into the goal, putting the guests ahead.
Three minutes later, "CSKA" equalized the score, but the referee saw an offside. Nevertheless, "CSKA" achieved its goal when a penalty was awarded in the 32nd minute, successfully converted by the Brazilian Jo, scoring his 13th goal in the championship.
At the beginning of the second half, "Rostov" almost took the lead again, when Spartak Gogniyev received a pass from the depth and could find himself one on one with the "CSKA" goalkeeper, but at the last moment the ball was knocked out of his feet by the hosts' defender. However, after fifteen minutes, the same S. Gogniyev scored a goal, when after another breakthrough on the flank and a pass into the penalty area, he received the ball and deceived D. Šemberas, scoring the second goal for his team.
Although "CSKA" coach Valery Gazajaveas tried to revive the game, "Rostov" maintained their winning result of 1-2 and sensationally defeated the Russian champions away.
