Round 10: "Valencia" crisis continues © EuroFootball.com

On Sunday, the remaining eight matches of the 10th round of the Spanish football championship ("La Liga") were played, after which the team continues to confidently lead the championship.

The biggest surprise of the round was the underdog "Getafe", who defeated the defending champions "Valencia" at home by a minimal score of 1-0. It is worth mentioning that "Valencia" last celebrated a victory on September 26th, when they beat Santander's "Racing" team 2-0.

Meanwhile, another Valencia team "Levante", returning to "La Liga" after many years of absence, continues to impress Spanish football fans with their successful game - currently out of the three teams from the Valencia region playing in the league ("Valencia", "Villarreal" and "Levante" - ed. note), they hold the highest position. In this round, "Levante" defeated Bilbao's "Athletic" club by a minimal score.

And the royal Madrid team "Real", recovering after a crisis, continues to demonstrate successful gameplay. This time, the victims of Madrid were the "Malaga" team, which "Real" defeated 2-0 with goals from Luis Figo and Michael Owen.

Last season's underdog Barcelona team "Espanyol" is playing very confidently this season, defeating one opponent after another. In this round, the team that could not resist the Catalans was the San Sebastian "Real Sociedad", who lost to "Espanyol" 0-2.

The "Sevilla" club, who were in second place in the tournament table before this round, only managed to play a 1-1 draw with the underdog "Mallorca" this time, losing two very valuable points and allowing themselves to be overtaken not only by Madrid's "Real" but also by the "Levante" teams.
