Over the weekend, the 18th round of the Russian "Premier" League was marked by intense and dramatic matches - in five games, the result was decided in the last ten minutes, while in the other three matches no goals were scored.
The most intriguing match took place in Moscow, where the league leaders "Lokomotiv" played against D. Sember's "CSKA" club. The "Railwaymen" took the lead twice against the "Army Men", who managed to equalize each time, but the hosts secured the victory with O. Pashinin's goal in the penultimate minute.
10th defeat was suffered by Moscow's "Dynamo", who were leading against Yaroslavl's "Shinnik" away, but had to admit the opponent's superiority when they scored the winning goal with three minutes left. An intense match took place in Kazan between the local "Rubin" and "Moscow" - although the guests managed to take the lead in the 83rd minute, the hosts equalized five minutes later.
Continuing their unsuccessful streak, Samara's "Krylya Sovetov", who sold their core, lost on the road to Tomsk's "Tom" club this time. "Tom" managed to equalize the lead twice with A. Husin, but the resistance from the guests was broken in the 84th minute by V. Catinsus, and V. Klimov added another goal at the end of the match.
Second-placed St. Petersburg's "Zenit" with R. Pushkars could not win against Grozny's "Terek", Moscow's "Spartak" failed to beat Perm's "Amkar", and the match against the absolute underdog "Rostov" ended in a draw with a zero score, as well as Moscow region's "Saturn".
