This weekend, the usual matches of the Russian Premier League were played. The peaceful match between "Lokomotiv" and St. Petersburg's "Zenit" had already been played on June 15 in Moscow.

The main match of the round took place in Yaroslavl. Local team "Shinnik" faced Moscow's "CSKA". It is worth mentioning that "CSKA" had not been able to defeat "Shinnik" since June 1, 2002, and a victory was necessary for the army team to continue the fight for the championship title. Despite losing key attackers recently, "CSKA" started the match with a goal scored in the 2nd minute.

After the goal, "CSKA" calmed down and "Shinnik" took the initiative, but in the next two halves of the match not only failed to score a goal but also had to play with ten men from the start of the second half, and in the last minute of the match, "CSKA" was awarded a penalty, scored by Brazilian player Aleksandr Dudu, who scored his second goal of the Russian championship.

In crisis-stricken Samara, "Krylya Sovetov" sought to earn points at home, but this time they were prevented from doing so by Moscow's "Torpedo". The boring match, which ended in a fight between the teams' players, finished with a score of 0-1 in favor of "Torpedo", who scored the only goal at the end of the first half.

Fighting to stay in the Premier League, the underdog "Rostov" faced Perm's "Amkar" club at home, which had almost secured a place in the championship for the next year. In this match, the striker Maksim Buzinikinas, borrowed from "Lokomotiv", scored twice, helping the "Rostov" team to win 2-0.

In Vladikavkaz, the local "Alania" faced "Moskva". The hosts started the first twenty minutes actively, but later the initiative was taken by "Moskva" and in the 32nd minute Aleksey Melioshin scored a goal. "Alania" did not give up after conceding a goal and sought ways to the goal of "Moskva". It seemed that there would be a breakthrough in the second half and "Alania" would be able to change the course of the match, but a goal scored in the 60th minute from a set piece dashed all hopes of "Alania".

In Tomsk, "Tom" suffered a defeat at home against Ramenskoye's "Saturn". The first half ended goalless, but in the second half, the show of "Saturn" players began. The first goal was scored in the 57th minute, and after ten minutes, the result was doubled. The final point of the match was put in the 90th minute with the third goal of the visitors. "Saturn" won 0-3, sometimes referred to as the "aliens" team.

It seems that the Portuguese players of "Dinamo" finally started to fulfill their million-dollar contracts. Outstanding goals by Maniche and Derlei against Kazan's "Rubin" helped the Moscow club to win 3-1.

The last round match between Grozny's "Terek" and Moscow's "Spartak" was marked by a dramatic end of the match, as "Terek" equalized in the 90th minute, but in extra time "Spartak" scored the second goal and snatched the victory with a score of 1-2.
