Round 3: "Messina" shocks champion "Milan" © EuroFootball.com

On Wednesday, ten matches of the third round of the Italian "Serie-A" championship were played. The league's newcomer "Messina" presented a second unexpected result in a row, having defeated the defending champions "Milan" after previously beating "Roma" at home.

Turin's "Juventus" maintained their leadership position and one hundred percent result by crushing the still point-less "Sampdoria" away. Along with the latter, Marius Stankevičius's "Brescia" shares the last place, having lost to the "Lazio" team and suffering their third consecutive defeat.

Milan's "Inter" club managed to secure their first victory - scoring a goal in the last minutes to defeat "Atalanta". Victories were also celebrated by "Cagliari", "Reggina", and "Bologna", while the match between "Roma" and "Lecce" ended in a draw, with no goals scored in two matches.
