Former Arsenal footballer Robert Pires believes that Arsene Wenger could be successfully replaced in the ranks of the "Gunners" by Thierry Henry or Carlo Ancelotti.
The 41-year-old Frenchman played for Arsenal for seven years. During that time, the club legend managed to win two Premier League titles, three FA Cup trophies, and twice became the winner of the Community Shield tournament.
However, R. Pires does not think that Arsene Wenger should step down from his coaching duties with the team just yet. But after the departure of the legendary French coach, two specialists could come to Arsenal.
When asked by the portal "Goal.com" if Wenger could leave Arsenal, the former footballer replied: "Not at the moment. Besides, Arsene still has a contract with the club."
"Who would be the perfect replacement? I think Henry, because he understands the game of Arsenal very well. I also like Carlo Ancelotti. But this is just my opinion and it doesn't mean that the club needs Ancelotti at the moment," - Pires concluded.
