The Lithuanian national team striker, representing the team of St. Petersburg, was loaned to a struggling Moscow team until the end of this season.
Although the reasons for this decision are not specified on the Zenit website, a new club was sought for R.Poškus, who had been joined by one of the top Turkish strikers, Fatih Tekke, and another striker, Alexander Panov, who arrived from Moscow.
In addition, with the team's head coach becoming Dutchman Dick Advocaat, R.Poškus, who had recently suffered a minor injury, rarely made it into the starting lineup. In a total of 11 Russian Premier League matches, the Lithuanian striker scored twice.
In his new club, R.Poškus will likely have to compete more - the team bid farewell to 7 experienced footballers, including striker Dmitry Bulykin.
