Ukraine continues to defend itself from occupiers from Russia, who are isolated from the sports world. UEFA announced today that the Russian national football team will be banned from competing in the qualification for the 2024 European Championship. Russia was also banned from competing in the World Cup. The team was supposed to compete against Poland in the qualifying tournament, but this right was revoked after the war in Ukraine started. The 2024 European Football Championship will take place in Germany.
