Maskva 1:0 Kazanė

This year Moscow's Russian Cup is needed more than ever. Only a victory in this tournament will allow Yuri Siomin's team, left without medals, to perform in the European cups. The players themselves understand this well, playing effectively enough in cup matches. After scoring equal goals in Kazan, the Muscovites only needed to defend themselves and not let a goal into their own net. The first sharp moment near the guests' goal was successful. In the 20th minute, the Russian national team forward Dmitry Sychyov managed to get the ball from two Kazan defenders and skillfully passed it to Marat Izmailov, who was near the penalty area line. He scored a great shot, putting "Lokomotiv" ahead. After this event, the score needed to be equalized. With five minutes left until the end of the first half, the legionnaire of Kazan's club from the Republic of Tatarstan, Brazilian Aloisio, missed a great opportunity - after his shot, the ball flew past the goal.

In the second half, the situation on the pitch did not change much. Kazan had several moments to equalize the score, but the Muscovites were saved by goalkeeper Sergei Ovchinnikov.

In the quarterfinals of the Cup, they will meet the team from Yaroslavl, who yesterday defeated Vladikavkaz.

Yaroslavl 3:0 Vladikavkaz

Yaroslavl's footballers, after a series of failures - two lost matches in the first rounds of the Russian championship, where they did not score a single goal - were eager to prove to their loyal fans that they can meet the high demands placed on them.

In the first half, both teams were quite passive. Neither team created real scoring opportunities. Immediately after the break, the guests launched a great counterattack. One-on-one with the goalkeeper, Smirnov appeared, but instead of shooting towards goal, he tried to dribble. Yaroslavl's goalkeeper Tkhyuk rushed to his feet, but the forward pretended to fall in the penalty area, and received a yellow card for it. The match seemed inevitably to end without goals. But after a penalty kick from the middle of the field, the ball was headed right at the corner of the penalty area. The ball was met by the defender Stanukas, who headed it from 11 meters, where Alexander Shirko appeared to be the most active. After a few moments, the fans witnessed the "Teletubbies" dance.

In extra time, the Yaroslavl footballers scored twice more. First, the team captain Vasiljevas sent the ball towards the goal from the corner of the penalty area. The ball ended up in the far corner of the goal. After that, the hosts' Brazilian striker Gelson showed a solo performance, scoring almost from a zero angle.

Grozny "Terek" 1:1 Krasnodar

A few hours earlier, in Pyatigorsk, the leader of the First Russian football league, Grozny "Terek," played a draw with Krasnodar, finishing with a score of 1:1. The match did not promise much intrigue, as the Chechen capital club confidently won the first match (3:0). In the return match, the formal home team scored first (as Grozny is still not allowed to host matches). This was done by the club's newcomer Denis Kliuyev. However, the hosts' lead did not last long. Just four minutes later, Stanislav Lysenko equalized the score. The second half did not feature active attacking plays, both teams simply "existed" on the field until the end of the match.

In the quarterfinals of the Russian Cup, the following matches will take place: Moscow - Yaroslavl Moscow - Samara Grozny "Terek" - Volgograd Moscow - Rostov-on-Don
