Russian fans complain: police raided the hotel and confiscated alcohol

The French police took decisive action to prevent further hooligan attacks during the European Championship.

It is reported that the gendarmes searched a hotel in Marseille where Russian national team fans were staying.

Such law enforcement actions sparked anger among fans, whose organization leader Alexander Shprygin publicly expressed his dissatisfaction.

"The hotel, where 50 children also stayed, was surrounded by police cars, armed officers appeared, they searched the rooms, checked passports, tickets, took photos of us," the leader said.

"To make matters worse, they took away our alcohol. We were warned not to disrupt public order.

It's strange that they didn't raid other hotels with Russian fans, but only targeted us, the official fan organization," said Shprygin.
