Russian national team coach F. Capello has not been paid his salary since June.

The Russian Football Union has admitted that they cannot pay the huge salary of the national team coach Fabio Capello. Since June, the football expert sees only zeros in his account. "We have no funds to pay the coach's salary. Before signing the contract, we should have thought about how to get guaranteed funding. Now we will have to look for sources of money," said committee member Sergėjus Stepašinas. Having extended his contract in January, F. Capello earns 7 million pounds sterling per year, making him the highest-paid national team coach in the world. This is almost twice as much as England's national team manager Roy Hodgson.
