Russian representative after the fiasco: "Wales - like a Bentley, and we - like Ladas"

On Monday, the B group battles of "Euro 2016" championship ended - here Russia tried to keep their chances to stay in the championship, but completely failed to cope with the tension.

The Welsh national team scored two goals to their opponents in the first half, eventually celebrating a 3-0 victory and forcing Russia to finish the tournament at the bottom of the group, although their goal before the championship was to reach the quarterfinals.

"I think that after such a performance, there is no other way out but to hand over the team to someone else," - said national team coach Leonidas Sluckis after the match about stepping down.

Although Minister of Sport Vitalijus Mutko did not agree with this hasty step, stating that everything needs to be calmly considered, others did not beat around the bush.

"The players tried to stop Wales' attack, but it didn't stop, and Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey were simply unstoppable. Wales - like a 'Bentley', and we are like 'Ladas'," - said Nikolajus Pisarevas, sports director of the Russian Football Union (RFS).
