The Real Madrid defender Rafael van der Vaart said that he is not planning to leave the team, despite the news that Bremen's Werder defender Mesut Ozil has joined the team.
"I don't see any problem, I am a fighter, I will try to fight for my place in the team, I am not planning to leave so easily," the Dutchman said. "I haven't spoken to the club's executives yet, but the coach has mentioned that only the players who show the best performance will play, not based on names."
"Of course, the competition will be very tough, but I am ready to fight for my place. I will stay in Madrid, for now I am definitely not thinking about leaving."
Indeed, one player from Real will surely leave, as there are currently 26 players in the squad, and only 25 names can be registered for the new season.
By the way, another bad news reached Real, as defender Raul Albiol suffered an injury and will be out of the game for about a month, so at the moment the team has only one healthy center-back – the newcomer Ricardo Carvalho.
