"Manchester United" newcomer Robin van Persie insisted that he parted ways with his former team on good terms.
"I would like to thank the 'Arsenal' team and coach Arsene Wenger for the last eight years. My time at the London club left me with unforgettable impressions and I value it only positively," said the Dutch player.
"It's just that my and the team's views on certain things diverged. They seemed unimportant to 'Arsenal,' to me - the opposite. That's life and I hope they don't hold a grudge against me, just as I don't against the London team," van Persie said.
The 29-year-old striker officially signed a four-year contract with "Man Utd" on Friday. "Arsenal" will receive nearly 31 million euros in compensation for him.
