The most productive "Manchester United" footballer Robin van Persie described the equalizer at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium as a positive result, but was disappointed by missing several of his opportunities.
In the second half, the Dutchman had three chances to score, but two of his shots were saved by "Real" goalkeeper Diego Lopez, and once Xabi Alonso managed to clear the ball rolling towards the goal.
"We had several good opportunities and if someone had offered to end the match with a 1-1 result before the game, most of us would have agreed to that," Van Persie said.
"It's a good result away from home. People who watched the match saw attacks on both goals, so I think it was an interesting game.
In the second half I had three opportunities. It was a big chance to score a goal and I had to do it, but I didn't hit the ball the way I wanted.
A bit more luck and the ball could have still ended up in the net, but it didn't happen. Then, in the last minutes, the opponent's goalkeeper saved the team - I thought my shot would find the target."
