"Manchester City" striker Sergio Aguero believes that coach Pep Guardiola has made him a better footballer.
The Argentine became one of the leaders of the "Citizens" shortly after joining the team in 2011, and now he is just one precise strike away from reaching 200 goals in the blue and white shirt.
At the beginning of this season, there were rumors that the 29-year-old player was not getting along with the coach, but now he insists that the Catalan has indeed contributed significantly to his reaching the peak of his career.
"I think that the ability to adapt to Pep's style of play has greatly contributed to my form this season," Aguero told the official "Man City" website.
"I am driven by the desire to continue learning and have always been able to absorb the lessons of other coaches and apply them."
"Pep demands a lot, but I just had to adjust my game and thinking."
"This means that I have to help in ball recovery and pressing opponents, make more passes, look for teammates, and stay uncovered so that I can receive passes and find the net."
"It's a constant learning process and I appreciate that, because it helps me improve as a footballer."
This season, Aguero scored a total of 30 goals and provided seven assists in 38 matches.
