Dortmund's "Borussia" defender Sven Bender has tied his future with the "yellow blacks". The 26-year-old footballer today signed a new contract with the club until 2021.
According to the old agreement, the German's contract was supposed to expire next summer, but the Dortmund team decided to convince the player to stay in their team now.
"I am very happy to continue representing the 'Borussia' team," S. Bender said after signing the contract. "I am very pleased that the club has agreed to tie the future with me and other players. They have shown character and the desire to be a part of this team."
S. Bender joined "Borussia" in 2009. The player, who plays in the position of a defensive midfielder, has suffered more than one injury in Dortmund, but wearing the "yellow and black" jersey on the field, he managed to appear 203 times.
