The head coach of "West Ham," Slaven Bilic, positively assessed the work of his club's leaders in the transfer market and emphasized that this season they can compete with the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
"West Ham" did not acquire world-class stars, but recently they added Andre Ayew, who had a productive season in England's top flight.
"I wanted to attract some of the best forwards in the market to the team, but they chose bigger clubs with higher wages. I am glad that in the end we managed to attract a player (Ayew) who we wanted," said S. Bilic.
"A few weeks ago, I told the club president that in order to compete with the big clubs, we need to spend a little more money. Then we will have a chance to compete with those clubs at least on paper. But without investments, there won't be great players," said S. Bilic.
Last season, "West Ham" finished seventh in the Premier League.
