S. Blatteris: I did not resign

Sepp Blatter mentioned that he may still try to remain in the FIFA presidency, claiming that he has not yet resigned.

The 79-year-old Swiss announced his resignation just four days after defeating Jordan's Prince Ali bin Al Hussein in the elections. This decision was influenced by a corruption scandal that shook the organization.

Despite rumors that Blatter will run again at the extraordinary congress where the new president should be elected, FIFA denies this.

Nevertheless, these speculations are now being fueled by the Swiss himself.

"I did not resign, I will simply propose my candidacy at the extraordinary congress," Blatter told the Swiss newspaper Blick.

"Only those who know the past can understand the present and model the future."

The date of the new elections will be decided at the meeting scheduled for July 20th.
