Great Britain is currently suffering from a new strain of coronavirus, which is spreading rapidly within the country. COVID-19 is once again tightening its grip on the clubs of the English Premier League, with some coaches publicly advocating for the season to be halted. One of the clubs where the virus recently spread is Newcastle. The coach of the "Magpies", Steve Bruce, recently revealed that the virus severely affected two of his players. According to the 60-year-old strategist, it is very important for the Premier League not to stop the season from a financial point of view, but S. Bruce believes that playing football at such a time is simply unfair. "I can see that other clubs are suffering from this virus now. Of course, we have strict Premier League COVID-19 protocols, but once we leave the training centers, we all find ourselves in the 'outside' world. Everyone is witnessing how rapidly this virus is spreading. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to control or even stop it. We have seen up close how COVID-19 affects people. Two of our players fell seriously ill, and one of the club's employees was very close to ending up in the hospital. No one could have imagined that the second wave of the virus would be so strong. Financially, continuing the season is important, but from a moral standpoint - it is very unfair. I understand that people want to see football, but we are just as vulnerable," S. Bruce said.
