Santi Cazorla once again got the chance to represent the Spanish national team.
The 34-year-old footballer, who in 2015 was forced to consider the end of his career due to a serious ankle injury, has been demonstrating excellent form since last season and has become a candidate to help the national team in the final stages of the 2020 European Championship qualification.
S. Cazorla returned to the national team last summer after a four-year break, when he played one game against the Faroe Islands.
Representing the "Villarreal" team, the midfielder has scored four goals and provided three assists in seven games this season.
For the first time, Sergio Reguilonas ("Sevilla"), Gerard Moreno, and Pau Torres (both from "Villarreal") were called up to the national team.
Interestingly, there are only three representatives from Barcelona and Real Madrid clubs in the Spanish national team - Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal, and Sergio Busquets.
In the upcoming national team cycle in October, Spain will play against the national teams of Norway and Sweden.
