Until the end of this season, the Italian Serie A club has rented the former Italian national team and club defender. Meanwhile, "Torino" has borrowed a defender until the summer.
The 31-year-old defender S.Fiore was borrowed to "Torino" from the "Valencia" team by the now dismissed team coach Gianni De Biasi, but the player failed to fit into the new team.
De Biasi's place in the "Torino" team was taken by former "Milan" team coach Alberto Zaccheroni, and just a few days before the arrival of S.Fiore to the new team, the new coach stated that the Italian would not be part of his future plans.
Having spent the first part of the season in the Turin team, the former Italian national team defender managed to score only one goal in 19 games. On the last day of the winter transfer window, he moved to the "Livorno" team, where he will represent them until the end of the season.
"He was our main target, as the head coach of the club Daniele Arrigoni really wanted to see him in his ranks," said Aldo Spinelli, the president of "Livorno," delighted that they outbid the former Italian national team defender. - "The deal for the transfer of the defender with the owner of "Torino" Urbano Cairo was so difficult that it is even easier to make a deal with the residents of the city of Genoa. S.Fiore, who has played for teams such as Verona's "Chievo," "Parma," "Udinese," Rome's "Lazio," and "Fiorentina," moved to Spain's "Valencia" team in 2004, but only played in 20 matches. The Italian represented his national team 38 times.
The defender should help the "Livorno" team in the UEFA Cup sixteenth-final match against another Spanish team, Barcelona's "Espanyol," next month.
Meanwhile, the "Torino" club also made a move and attracted the defender Francesco Coco, belonging to Milan's "Inter," to the team, with whom they also signed a loan agreement until the end of the season.
