The England national team defender Steven Gerrard missed the team's training session on Wednesday due to persistent back pain.
The 26-year-old defender injured his back, but team officials expressed their belief that the player will recover in time for the first World Cup match against Paraguay.
"Steven is not training at full strength on purpose and we hope he will be ready for Saturday's match," said a representative of the Football Association (FA) of England.
S.Gerrard and W.Rooney, who returned to England to assess their injuries, are the only ones who did not participate in training. David Beckham, Ashley Cole, John Terry, and Gary Neville, who were concerned about injuries on Tuesday, are already training at full strength.
Unlike the training session on Tuesday, which was publicly watched by hundreds of German students, the England national team was able to train privately on Wednesday, and only a small warm-up part was allowed to be filmed by television cameras.
It is reported that J.Terry, who suffered a minor injury on Tuesday after a collision with teammate Wayne Bridge, looked healthy while performing stretching exercises with his teammates.
