The 17th round of the "TOPsport A lyga" was kicked off by a match between Kauno rajono "Hegelmann" and Marijampolės "Sūduva". In a high-scoring encounter, the hosts expanded their victory in the last minute, defeating the visitors from Suvalkija with a score of 3:2 (1:2).

The visitors took the lead in the 12th minute when Artemas Fedorovas beat the goalkeeper after a great team play. However, the Marijampolė team didn't celebrate for long as in the 19th minute the score became level - Giedrius Zenekvičius deflected Patrick Popescu's shot, the ball bounced back to the Romanian, who sent it timely to Matas Vareika, who separated himself with a goal.

Nevertheless, "Sūduva" pushed forward again in the 32nd minute when after A. Fedorovo's pass, Motiejus Burba sent the ball into the goal. At the end of the half, P. Popescu posed a threat - the Romanian took a dangerous penalty shot and hit it from outside the penalty area, but he didn't manage to score.

In the 57th minute, M. Vareika leveled the score and scored a brace, receiving a pass, controlling the ball, and sending it towards G. Zenkevičius' guarded goal, and shortly after Leo Ribeiro responded with a dangerous penalty shot, which was blocked by the goalkeeper.

In the 70th minute, Vilius Armalas missed his chance, and a few minutes later the Marijampolė team defended against Njoya Abdelo Kadero's attack. Towards the end of the half, P. Popescu created another chance, but his shot flew over the goal. However, in added time, Steve Kingue scored a goal with a header, expanding the home team's victory.

After the 17th round, the "Hegelmann" team remains in 2nd place with 32 points, while "Sūduva" has 19 points and is in 8th place.
