Despite all the rumors that Sinisa Mihajlovic will leave the "Milan" team after the season, the coach himself expressed his desire to remain in the position of head coach of this club.
Last weekend, a series of twelve unbeaten matches ended, which "Milan" had achieved in all competitions, and after the setback against "Sassuolo", rumors surfaced that Mihajlovic would have to leave the ranks of the Italian club after the season. However, the coach remains optimistic about his chances of staying with the team.
"I am disappointed that after the setback, the usual rumors about my work at the 'Milan' club have resurfaced. Moving from one extreme situation to another is not healthy. I made mistakes, but the most important thing is that my ideas and choices have always been for the good of the team," - said the coach before the match against "Chievo".
The "Milan" coach also admitted that he had a calm conversation with the team president Silvio Berlusconi and is determined to fight for a place in next year's European competitions.
"I have a good relationship with the president. Yesterday we talked about football and the match against 'Sassuolo'. It was a calm meeting. I want to reassure everyone that I still have one year left on my contract, and I want to adhere to it, but it will depend on my work and results. A decision will be made at the end of the season. I know how things work in football and I am calm," revealed Mihajlovic.
Currently, "Milan" occupies the sixth place in the Italian championship, and the next match will be played on Sunday against "Chievo".
