One of the leaders of the Roma team "Lazio" Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was once again linked with a move to "Manchester United" this summer, but the deal never materialized.
The 24-year-old Serb revealed that the rumors about the Premier League team were just media-created stories, and he himself never really thought about such a move.
"You will never hear me say that I want to leave "Lazio". I have never hinted at a possible move to "Manchester United", all of this was just media-created stories.
"I'm not worried about my situation, and there is still time for a possible move. If something has to happen, then it will. So far, nothing has happened, so we just keep moving forward," Milinkovic-Savic told "Sport Plus".
Speaking to the Serbian media, the central midfielder also emphasized that he is not thinking about transfer windows and is focusing on the current affairs of his team.
"I don't think too much about transfer windows. Many things have already been written about me, but I focus on the current affairs of my team," said the Serbian.
Last season, S. Milinkovic-Savic played 41 games for "Lazio", scored 7 goals, and provided 3 assists.
